The chain and mass merchandise pharmacists who had been approached about precepting the disease state management APPE expressed reservations about their patients accepting disease-state management services in their pharmacies, space for private meetings with patients, and or time to dedicate to student learning. For these reasons, the College was interested in developing an APPE that could address the pharmacists' concerns, meet the needs of the students, and create a ``win-win'' situation.
